    Confirm your ministry material loads, then open the bundled KJV.

01 Getting started Create an account, sign in, and use Face ID Approval, device access, updates, and logout Open

Use the email address associated with your COGUA access. New accounts remain Pending until they are reviewed and assigned a role.

About 3 minutes
  1. Install or update the app. Older releases may be blocked when a newer version is required.
  2. Tap Sign In. Enter the approved email and password carefully.
  3. Enable Use Face ID if desired. Complete one successful password sign-in to save protected credentials.
  4. Wait for device verification. The app checks the account, role, device, and supported version.

The large dashboard card summarizes churches, messages, announcements, and Important Info. Use Search ministry files to find accessible audio, video, and documents without browsing every folder.

03 Ministry resources Browse and search the Media Library Categories, folders, sorting, and role-based access Open

The app shows categories that contain material available to your account. Common categories include All, Sermon Audio, Songs, Videos, and Documents.

  1. Open Media from the dashboard or menu.
  2. Choose a category, then open a folder.
  3. Search within the folder or sort by Name, Newest, or Oldest.
  4. Pull down to refresh when new material is expected.
  5. Tap audio or video to play it; tap a document to open the reader.
Why does another minister see different files?

Media is assigned by account and role. Different libraries can both be correct.

Control

Play, pause, seek, skip 10 seconds, or move to the previous and next item.

Continue

Collapse the player and use the mini-player while you browse the app.

Connect

Use AirPlay, lock-screen controls, background audio, and compatible CarPlay screens.

Continue Listening holds unfinished programs and their remaining time. The star adds accessible content to Favorites. Closing the mini-player stops the current item and clears that resume selection.

05 From pulpit to library Record, upload, and transcribe a sermon Prepare, capture, recover from interruptions, and process Open
Available for Admin, Minister, Governing Elder, and Council roles.
  1. Prepare. Connect to power, check storage, find a quiet device location, and allow microphone access.
  2. Name the project. Enter sermon date, required speaker name, and an optional short title.
  3. Record. Tap Start Recording, watch the timer, then tap Stop.
  4. Resume after a call. The app saves the current part. Return and tap Resume Recording to continue in a new part.
  5. Upload. Select the local project and tap Upload This Recording over a reliable connection.
  6. Transcribe. After upload, tap Transcribe This Audio and return to the project to check processing status.
Protect the only recording.

Confirm the uploaded audio opens correctly before permanently deleting the device copy.

Find Scripture

Search a book, word, exact phrase, or reference such as John 3:16.

Work with a verse

Long-press or use the ellipsis to highlight, save, note, add to a Subject, or share.

Select several

Enter Select mode to highlight, annotate, or collect several verses together.

Listen

Choose a book and chapter in Bible Audio, then play, pause, stop, or continue.

The KJV text is bundled with the app, making basic Scripture reading available without downloading ministry files.

07 Build a study library Organize highlights, notes, and Bible Subjects Manual study, paper imports, Apple Notes, export, and backup Open

A Subject is a named collection of KJV passages and study notes. Add verses manually, collect selected highlights, or import a paper or digital outline.

  1. Open My Subjects & Notes.
  2. Create a Subject and give it a clear teaching or sermon title.
  3. Add passages, edit notes, and reorder passage blocks.
  4. Share the finished Subject as text or PDF.

Import existing study material

Choose a camera scan, photo, PDF, pasted text, or the Apple Notes share action. On-device recognition finds text and handwriting, then matches Scripture references to the bundled KJV.

Review every recognized reference.

Handwriting, shadows, page curves, and abbreviations can create an incorrect match.

Highlights can be searched and sorted by Book, Color, or Date. Export selected colors as text or PDF, and use JSON backup before large bulk changes.

  1. Open a document from Media, Favorites, or File Exchange.
  2. Zoom and scroll with the PDF reader.
  3. Open detected Scripture references in the KJV reader.
  4. Use Read Aloud from the current page or a chosen page.
  5. Share or print the PDF through iOS.
  6. Choose Create Bible Subject to send the document through the study-import review.

On iPhone, switch between Bible and Document. On iPad, use the larger study layout to keep Scripture close to the document.

09 Move ministry files Upload, download, preview, and share files Personal folders, shared locations, Quick Look, and permissions Open

Use My Folder to jump to your personal location. Breadcrumbs and Up One Level help you move through shared folders.

  1. Use dashboard Upload Media for your personal folder.
  2. Inside File Exchange, open a folder and look for Upload Here.
  3. Tap a file to download it to the app and open Quick Look.
  4. Long-press for Open or Download/Share.
Deletion is permanent.

A delete action appears only when the service grants it. Deleting a folder also removes its contents.

Search name, email, church, city, state, or address. Filter Licensed, On-Trial, or Online Users.

Search church, city, state, pastor, or address and review service details.

Travel

Tap the church address or directions action to continue in Apple Maps.

Open Events to review the image, category, date or date range, service times, location, and description. Tap More Info when an event includes an external page, and pull down to refresh after a new gathering is announced.

Start a direct conversation

  1. Open Messages and tap compose.
  2. Search by name or email, or filter by ministry classification.
  3. Select the person, type the message, and send.

Use a group room

Open General App Chat or Doctrine / Bible Questions. Send text or attach an appropriate photo. Online and last-seen indicators provide general presence information.

Use good pastoral judgment.

Keep confidential counseling, medical, financial, or disciplinary details out of group rooms.

13 Ministry communication Read announcements and enable notifications Badges, history, Important Info, and notification settings Open

The announcement badge shows unseen notices. Some notices appear as a popup and are marked read after Continue or Close. Important Info opens the current ministry notice and may include an image or donation link.

  1. Allow notifications when the app first asks.
  2. If alerts are missing, open iOS Settings and select the COGUA Ministry App.
  3. Open Notifications and enable the desired alerts, sounds, and badges.
  4. Check whether Focus mode is silencing the app.
14 Ministry on the road Use church navigation and media with CarPlay Directions, available audio, Favorites, and safe preparation Open

Depending on available content, CarPlay can show Church Navigation, Songs, Sermons, Special, and Favorites. Choose a church to continue in Apple Maps, or browse the role-approved audio available to your account.

Prepare before moving.

Choose media and enter detailed searches while parked. Use hands-free controls and obey local law.

Open Finance Reports from the dashboard shortcut. Browse and open the available report files as you would in File Exchange. These roles can view the report area but cannot upload into it.

Cannot sign in

Verify the approved email, retype the password, update the app, change connections, and reopen it.

Content is missing

Pull down to refresh, confirm the correct account, and remember that content can vary by role.

Audio will not play

Refresh the folder, check volume and AirPlay, then try another item to isolate the problem.

Upload failed

Use stable Wi-Fi, confirm Upload Here is available, keep the app open, and check storage.

Recording is missing

Choose Local Recordings, sort Newest, search date or speaker, and restore hidden items.

Alerts are missing

Review iOS Notifications and Focus, then reopen the app on a working connection.
